This was a quick, but special session! My brother, Jeff, and his family had just come into town from Austin. The kids and I were working on a holiday craft that would be a Christmas gift for Grandma and GG (great grandma), so I asked Jeff and my SIL, Karen, to come over that afternoon so we could include my nephew in the project. And since it was a gorgeous Texas winter's day and they were here, why not head out for a family session to update their photos too?
My nephew is 2 and a half, and the baby of the family. While they were over, working on the craft, I marveled at just how much he had grown and learned since I last saw him! That's why it's so crucial to take photos. They grow up so fast.
Well, no thanks to our project, my poor nephew missed his nap, and wasn't really in the mood for family photos. We still got some big smiles thanks to my brother singing the ABCs in crazy voices! My 4 year old was tagging along, and that singing had us all in hysterics.
In case you were wondering, our craft turned out great! We made these snowmen out of fence posts to the height of each kiddo, and used their fingerprints for the eyes, mouth, and buttons, socks for hats and ribbon for scarves. It was super simple and a big hit as gifts. Check out this tutorial we used as a guide from the creatives at https://mrswillskindergarten.com/christmas-projects-done/
