Elliot and Ashton

Just for fun, I got to do a shoot last month of my son, Elliot, and one of his very best friends, Ashton. They have been friends and playmates all of their 5 years because Ashton's mom, Meranda, and I, were pregnant at the same time and these cuties were born just 3 days apart.

For Ashton's princess-themed 5th birthday, she requested her mom get her a pretty floor length dress. She wore it to Chuck-E-Cheese, but I thought it would be fun if she got to show it off again, and that's where the idea for this shoot was born. I got the idea online for Elliot to surprise her with flowers. I made the bouquet myself - a first for me! - to match Ashton's dress. I'm pretty proud of it.

As we walked up to the site, we hid the flowers out of sight, and then Elliot gave them to her. It just turned into the best, most genuine smiles and laughs I've ever seen. These two are so sweet together. Here's the cuteness:
